About the Artist
Debra Edelman
was born and raised in California. She has always loved to
paint the beauty around her. At the age of 5 she demonstrated
the talent for recreating the illustrations in her storybooks.
At age 7 she began her first professional art classes and has
enjoyed painting ever since.
Throughout
the years, Debra’s “works” have changed and evolved with her
life experiences. Although she began working in oils, she has
come to appreciate the versatility of acrylics and has focused
her most recent works using this medium.
Her artistic
talents range from abstract and impressionistic to “Trompe
loeil” realism. She has created murals of intricate floral
borders and vines; intoxicating sea and landscapes to those
animated characters your children know and love. These works
have adorned many a surface from blank walls and canvas to
furniture and fabrics.
Debra’s
background in home fashion design focuses on color and
placement to create warm inviting environments. Her faux
finishes bring texture and movement to your walls, giving each
room a look and feel of warmth and completion.
Using her
clients visions combined with her own to create a unique and
individualistic “work of art”, Debra takes pride in creating a
heartfelt pleasure for the eyes every time.
